First Day at the New Job
Happy Monday, Belles & Beaus!
If I don’t reply to your comments until tonight when I get off work, please do not take it personal! Today I started my new job and I’m trying to focus on learning everything to do correctly so that I can prove they didn’t make a mistake deciding to hire me permanently instead of temporarily with potential to become permanent. This is really important to me.
Last week was a world wind at Tractor with it being my last week. I was trying my hardest to get as much done for my boss before I left on Friday. The team surprised me donuts on Friday from Dunkin’ Donuts and then my boss kindly brought in Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (they’re my favorite). So it was a really bittersweet day.
Am I going to miss working for a company set on helping Farmers with the life out there? Absolutely yes! My grandfather was a farmer before they found the brain tumor three years before I was born. After that he couldn’t do it, but he had always wanted a farm. And I think some of that love trickled down to me because I really want a garden, if only to grow my own okra.
Am I excited about this new job? Absolutely! But I’m also terrified. Though I totally know that if this is meant to be, it will work out for the long haul.
Right now, I’m searching for apartments to get out on my own so I can get Miss Katherine up here with me. It’s hard when you have to keep a low budget but I’d rather keep a low budget and be able to save a ton of money up for the future than end up living on cereal constantly.
Mom and I went to get my new phone activated this weekend as well as a little shopping for my new job as far as like clothes goes. I’ve been wearing a lot of dresses here lately because it’s really starting to get hot down here. So I figured some light shopping for some professional dresses wouldn’t hurt. And a few more quarter sleeve blazers as well.
But that’s it for now!
